chairs: wood or plastic?

Sassy Cincy Bride, on April 20, 2015 at 1:11 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Our ceremony is outdoors and we will be renting chairs for our guests. I have seen both white plastic and white wooden chairs used and both seem okay for something that you sit in for 20 minutes. What do you ladies think about the wooden garden chairs as opposed to the white metal framed chairs with the plastic seat?

The wooden ones are prettier, but probably more expensive. If I were you, I'd go with the cheaper plastic chairs and spend that $$ somewhere else. My butt is fine with either. If they're the same price, though, go with the pretty wooden ones.

I would say wood if there isn't a huge price difference. But we're having plastic because they look just fine and I wasn't about to pay extra money while the chairs we had were just fine. We're outdoors too though, so no one will be looking at the chairs, they'll be looking at the gorgeous rolling hills of the vineyard

We decided on plastic. I was torn because I think the wood look better. But at the end of the day I decided it wasn't worth the money, because I am the only person that will notice. Painted wood will get just as hot as plastic in the sun, so there really is no function benefit to the wood.

The price difference is only $75. I'm thinking that mat be worth reduced risk of burning and the pretty.
