chalkboard paint on votive candle holders?? pic.

I like the votive holders painted with chalkboard paint but is that safe?? I mean is chalkboard paint flammable? lol Also, would it work on glass?

    I recommend calling the manufacturer. Even if the paint (when dry) isn't flammable, the heat could cause the paint to release toxic fumes.

    They make a black "stove" paint that should be safe. Then you can use white paint for the lettering.

    Hmm..I'm thinking the smae thing as Bitchasaurus. OR there is flat black hi heat spray paint that Rustoleum makes. That should work too.

    I've seen them before but with just a small patch painted on the outside, not the whole thing. Maybe that would be safer?

    I went on the rustoleum site and found this about there brand

    Hazardous Decomposition: When heated to decomposition, it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes. By open

    flame, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

    the flash fire point is 212degrees so unless the flame on the candle will be above that i dont think you need to worry.
