It's time to pop the bubbly! 🍾 If you have it! Smiley surprise With tons of other boozy decisions like flat rate or consumption, top shelf or middle tier, liquor or just wine and beer - it can be easy to forget about the champagne! While champagne toasts used to be a top tradition, it's just as easy to cheers with whatever drink is already in your glass.

How do you feel about champagne? Is it a 'need to have' or a 'nice to have'?🥂

At least one glass for “the toast” is needed. Other than that, it’s a nice to have.

Nice to have. 99% of people won't know the difference between, say, a prosecco and champagne. I also think people are just as happy toasting with their drinks-of-choice

Nice to have, it's not being included in our wedding though because our day will not be spoiled by drunks.

I am not doing a toast. But will have a bottle of Moscato at our table for sure.

Originally, my husband and I were going to have a champagne toast with champagne for all guests. My venue advised me against it as it can be a waste of money for you. Some people don't like champagne. Others will already have a drink by the time you toast and will take only a sip of the champagne and then leave the rest on the table. My venue advised me that very often, there is champagne left in glasses. My husband and I had champagne for ourselves but everyone else toasted with whatever they had. We did have passed wine for our guests that we paid for so they did have an option of toasting regardless if they wanted to buy their own drink at the bar or not.
