Champagne Tower anyone?

Erika, on July 27, 2014 at 9:57 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5

I'm doing a Gatsby/Roaring 20's themed wedding and want to know if anyone has tried the champagne tower out! I found a tutorial that uses plastic champagne coupe style glasses (that's what I bought) and it seems to work but I'm scared it will be a big mess and won't work. Anyone try this with the plastic coupe style champagne glasses yet?

No. It WILL be a big mess and by the time anyone gets any, it'll be flat.

No I'm not having one, but it did remind me of the scene in Bad Grandpa where he totally ruined the couples tower and cake! LOL hilarious! And it was a real wedding!

I thought they were for show also when I first saw one.

It looks neat but I don't want to be handed a sticky glass from the champagne pouring over into the other glasses

We're planning on doing a champagne tower for my husband's birthday party, but I think we'll serve champagne separately to guests and use the tower just as decoration since those glasses, as a pp pointed out, will be sticky.
