Change of plans

Ally, on February 11, 2021 at 9:48 AM Posted in Planning 0 7
Kind of a stupid question but we had planned to do a backyard wedding, sent out invitations and everything. Then we decided it wasn’t going to work logistically so we are booking a venue. I’ve already had to send out about 4 different change of plans notices due to the pandemic and I would feel like a complete idiot having to do it again 😂😂 any ideas for how to notify people of this without seeming crazy for changing plans again??

Unfortunately, there isn't really another way besides sending out new invitations. I would make sure you have set plans this time before sending anything out though.

I've printed out save the dates and the wedding is schedule for August 2021, but due to the unknowns we are thinking we will probably need to postpone to a future date in 2022. Instead of trashing the current save the dates and printing new ones, I've ordered insert cards. The backside list our website.

Once we actually make the changes I'll probably create a facebook group or something and remind them to check the website for the change in date, or venue, or time.

You need to send a change of venue notice or new invites

I'm on the WA/OR border near Portland. Ceremony is in WA, reception is in OR, so we will need to follow 2 different state and county rules.

My biggest concern is making sure my dad is at the wedding, he is currently living outside the country and there is no updates on when they will get vaccines there. Since he is a US citizen he plans on coming back when it is safe to travel and will get the vaccine when he is back.

Gotcha! I was born and raised in Washington State ❤️ I have many friends getting married this year that are stressed out with the restrictions in WA... I can only imagine following Oregon and WA guidelines. Hope all goes well for you!!!
