Change the Date Announcements

How did everyone announce their new wedding date that was affected/postponed/cancelled due to coronavirus? Did you do something cute related to the situation? How did everyone announce their new wedding date that was affected/postponed/cancelled due to coronavirus? Did you do something cute related to the situation? For example I've seen some couples using toilet paper or masks and such. For us we're just announcing it with a simple Change the Date photo with us holding a sign with out new wedding date. I'm going from being a spring bride to a summer one! Just have to take everything with stride and be positive Smiley smile

Did any of you send out new invites? I've been getting comments from family members and friends saying sending out new invites isn't necessary. What do you all think?

So far I've started a Facebook event page that includes all my guests with the new wedding date and a link to our wedding website with all the information. I've also personally reached out to all our guests to inform them of our new date.

I'd love to hear from any brides on what they're doing Smiley heart

They have! Hotels have started allowing rebooking in the beginning of June and casinos are back to being open even some of the pool areas.

I feel you! Things are so unpredictable right now and I feel in 2020 it's been one thing after another especially if your guests do have to travel to Vegas I think it's best once things are more certain. We thought about even pushing it out until 2021 as well but I've been with my fiance for 5 years and we're in our 30's. I'm old fashioned in wanting kids after I'm married (even thought it's probably more common now to have kids at any point and then get married) so I want to start trying next year.

I think that's best. I didn't want to say one word until we were 100% certain. At least you let all your guests know personally (text phone calls) and the FB post to make it clear until you know for sure

It was quite the scramble! The Tuesday afternoon of our wedding week, the Governor put a 10-person mandate out and we were instantly canceled.

Our venue is in a downtown area that has had a lot of protests, so we’re also waiting to see if they are impacted by that. 2020 has definitely been an interesting year!

I can't even imagine how that felt! We were cancelled 6 weeks out because our venue was in a casino but I can't even fathom what a few days out would feel! I'm sorry you went through that; I think we all had to find a way to feel disappointed or angry or upset but then collect ourselves , accept what happened and get through it. Hope you guys can find a date that works whether its November or next year Smiley smile

Yes! It’s definitely been one thing after another this year. Well thankfully, FH I don’t have the additional thoughts about the getting pregnant... since this is both of our second marriages and I’m 45. 😁 We’ve known each of for 7 years, been together 4 years, engaged for 18 months and instead of having 4 months left, we’ll now have 16 months until the wedding. LOL😆 All I can do is laugh and remember that “Love Is Patient”! Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
