Changes to ceremony at vow renewal?

Kristina, on May 24, 2021 at 8:11 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
My husband and I got married on our original wedding date in a small family-only ceremony due to COVID. We’re having the bigger wedding this Fall and plan on doing the ceremony again. Did anyone else do this and if so, did you change the ceremony in anyway or make it just like your original ceremony so that the rest of your family and friends could see it?

Doing this exact same thing and we are making the ceremony more of a vow renewal, since it is, and it won’t be the same as last June. I can’t even wait- been waiting so long!!!

Since it’s a vow renewal, you can change it up by walking down the aisle together (or your husband can meet you half way down the aisle and you two walk the rest of the way together). Also adding “still” to the lines of your original vows is always nice (“I still love you and promise to ….”)

I totally agree with this!! ^^ There's so much you can do by just adding "still" and recommitting to your vows and promises!

Here are a few more discussions you can check out where other couples have shared what they're doing:
