Changing Dresses?????????????

Nicole, on March 15, 2012 at 2:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26

I'm on the fence about this. I love my dress and want to wear it all night but I think it may get uncomfortable to dance an move around in all night. What do you think?

It seems to be a trend to have two dresses. Personally, I'm not spending all that money on my wedding gown, only to ditch it halfway through the day.

I also am not much of a dancer so I don't need to worry about moving around and shaking my ass all night :-)

Do whatever you are most comfortable with.

Wow! what a beautiful gown!!! My dress is two pieces, so I will change into a short skirt when I can't take it anymore. ha ha. probably right after I say "I do"

You're dress is beautiful! But, as much as you love it, you may get tired of it. It's never a bad idea to have a back up dress, and it does't have to be overly dressy. I've got a simple white summer dress to change in to if needed. I plan on wearing my wedding dress all night, but I want to be prepared if I'm not comfortable anymore.

I have a humongous dress, but I will not be changing. I spent alot of money on it and I am going to get good use of it. Besides, God willing I will only be a bride once so I want to enjoy being queen/bride for the day and stand out.

True. I guess I'd rather have one and not wear it than want one and not have it. I'll get something simple (and wear again) to put in our suite just in case. I can always take it to wear on the cruise!

I am keeping my dress on for the entire night. My shoes however are a different story

I had an A-line dress as well with a crinoline and I was perfectly comfortable dancing in it all night.

But I did ditch the shoes after the special dances were over and put on some platform flip flops.

I actually have a casual dress for ceremony and a ball gown for the reception. The ceremony is on the beach in may in Florida.

Your dress is lovely, and it will be a lot of dress to haul around. I agree that maybe you should have a plan b.

I only had a sweep train, and after the formal pics, I stopped the music and told all of my guests they could change into something comfy. I put on capris and a tshirt. Most guests changed too. However, I had a very laid back wedding.

I'm changing dresses, however it is largely because my FH is in a wheelchair and I can't sit on his lap for our first dance in my ceremony dress.

I'm just going to remove my petticoats and keep wearing the dress. If I do change, it will late into the reception and I will probably just wear what I'm planning to for the rehearsal.
