I thought about having my hair up for the ceremony and taking it down for the reception but I decided to get a really pretty headband I'm going to wear instead with my veil for the ceremony and then by itself for the reception. That's it! Easy breezy!

No but you can definitely have your hair stylists do an updo for the ceremony and make it so when they remove the bobby pins it is long, wavy and beautiful!

I wanted to. But since I am going to the salon the morning of the wedding instead of having her come to me, i won't have anyone there to change it up for me. Boooo!

I like seeing photos of the brides who make this happen though.

    I honestly didn't have time!

I didn't even have time between the ceremony and the reception to stop and bustle my dress let alone get a drink of water. We ended up bustling it mid-dinner when we had the chance. I did take off my veil and insert a sparkly headband, but in all honesty the time goes so fast and you are continually rushed.

O0o0ooo0oooo Sarah I like that idea! I was wanting to wear a cute head band but skipped on it because I thought it would be too much with my veil, but now I can get it and use it for the reception. Love it.

I'm doing it but make sure you have time so it's also a relaxing process. I'm doing it because I wanted to wear a different dress and and I wanted to feel the "letting her hair down" effect after a serious wedding ceremony.

^ miss Liz, I'm changing dresses as well, but hair dresser to come back, she said it'll take 30-45 minutes to take it down. My reception is only 4 hours, didn't want to leave for almost an hour. Smiley sad

    Yep!

My hair will actually be down for the ceremony because FH likes it better like that and I don't really pictures of myself with my hair all pulled back. At the reception though (after the important pics) I'm having my friend put it up. My hair is so heavy and hot and I just know that once I get to drinking and dancing I'm gonna want it out of the way!

My daughter is wearing her hair down for the ceremony and putting it up for the reception. The last few weddings she's been to, she says that the brides who have had their hair down for the reception look a little messy, with all the dancing and jumping around, and her hair is heavy so she wants to look good for pics even at the end of the night.

TysonBB, how did it work with having your friend pull your hair up after the ceremony? I'm considering this, because I doubt my hair will hold through the whole day, then dancing etc. I don't want to look frazzled by the end. Do you have any pictures of what your friend was able to do? My friend is coming up with a few ideas, but she's not a professional, so we're not 100% sure if we should attempt it!
