Changing my wedding colors and “vibe”

Rachel, on September 8, 2020 at 7:33 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14
Hi, ladies -

Those that have been following me on here for a little while know that I had been originally posting photos of all sorts of wedding gowns that caught my eye and were on the “high fashion” side, however, I’ve changed up my whole vibe of my wedding. Because the ceremony will be happening on the beach, I decided to opt out of my original color palette (turquoise/teal, purple, and white) and instead go with a cool/warm color combo. I’ve decided on ice blue, coral, and white colors instead. Personally, I think this will give my wedding a more sophisticated feel but still have some fun colors. Not to mention, the flower company I’ve been speaking with does fabulous work and could come up with some beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, and floral arrangements for our arch. I’ve attached a photo of what I could find that closely matches the color scheme I’m going with. The guys will wear coral linen shirts with khaki linen pants while my sister (my only bridesmaid) will wear an ice blue bridesmaid gown. My dress will still be on the unique side, however, I am definitely leaning towards a ballgown style/easy flowy dress that will match my personality and setting. I’m feeling a lot happier with this new direction! ☺️ I am wanting a more easy, light, and fun wedding vibe while still adding some unique touches. Changing my wedding colors and “vibe” 1

Beautiful! I think it’s a great choice ❤️ The picture looks familiar. Are you having your beach wedding in Oahu?

Very pretty, but I would be careful with wearing a ballgown on the beach. That's a lot of sand to get all over your dress and if it's hot you won't want to wear something with so much fabric while outside in the sun.

Loving your new vibe, we’re doing. Beach wedding at sunrise. The bouquet is a cascading wrist corsage, the coral represent the sunrise from the below pic and the dark blue is my FHs son’s suit color while the light blue is my FHs suit color.
We’re going with white shirts because of the morning light.

I would be lying if I told you where I first spotted it (it's been so long ago). But the more and more I thought about it, the less and less I wanted a traditional bouquet. YAY for etsy and the shop called wedideas because she custom made it and completely met my vision. It didn't cost any more than a traditional bridal bouquet and it let's me keep it forever if stored correctly. The flowers really felt real, I was very surprised by the quality.
