Changing wedding date

Brittany, on January 31, 2023 at 12:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Has anyone been in a situation where you has to push back your wedding date for whatever reason? My future husband just decided to which our date from May to August. I’m ok with it but I didn’t want to have a long engagement.. I guess the upside is that I will have more dress options and more time to plan.

Has anyone made travel plans to attend yet? I would really only be concerned about inconveniencing guests. If there's nothing like that, then changing the date isn't considered impolite.

I had to push back my wedding date by two years, thanks to COVID. I ended up really appreciating the extra time to plan. As long as you notify your guests of the change in plans, there's nothing wrong with switching your date!

No no travel plans have been made… our family is all local so that shouldn’t be an issue. I guess I got to redo invitations.

That’s exactly what I was thinking having the extra time will be beneficial!

I also pushed mine back by a year due to covid. I appreciated the extra time, but I won't lie, it felt like the hype for my wedding kind of died- the bridal party as well as myself just didn't seem that excited for it by the time it rolled around

By the time we postponed, we had all of our vendors, wedding dress, and bridesmaid dresses, so I didn't really have much to plan, but I had more time to save up money which was helpful.

I can understand that! I definitely didn’t want to lose that excitement especially if everything and all the events were done leading up to the wedding.

I changed my date shortly after I sent out save the dates. It's a little awkward but people understand!
