Charcoal Gray Bridesmaid Dresses?

Erika, on April 14, 2021 at 4:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 9

I’ve been searching everywhere for charcoal/dark gray bridesmaids dresses, but I’m having a hard time. Everything is either super light gray or silver. Azazie has a few options; but they have mixed reviews. I might just have to go with a light gray, but I don't want it to be too close to white. Anyone have experience with Azazie or have other suggestions of where to look? Thanks so much in advance!

I got my girls from David’s bridal however it was a light gray color from what I remember they do have some darker gray or charcoal color. And they run sells all the time. Let me know if your interested in a light gray color I have dress that one of my girls couldn’t wear due to pregnancy and can’t return it.

I've used azazie for a few weddings and it's been great. The pewter or Steel Gray look like they would fit your color scheme? Heard nothing but good things from other BM's who have used azazie too. Good luck!

I'm using Azazie for my bridesmaids dresses (but in shades of blue) and my FMIL is using them for her dress too! I can def say that the dresses online like when you're just browsing styles look different from the physical swatches, so I def recommend ordering some so you can see the colors in person! Here's a link to customer photos of grey dresses: https://www.azazie.com/style-gallery/with/colors/grey - seeing people's actual pictures of the colors I was considering was also really helpful.

Daughter used Azazie for her 5 BMs (located all over the country) and was extremely happy with the results. You can order fabric swatches for a nominal cost. Keep in mind that even within all the swatches of Pewter (or whatever), different fabrics will vary in color/intensity/etc. -- the satins tend to look darker than the meshes and chiffons. When looking at photographs realize that every fabric is going to look different in different lighting and/or with different editing applied -- that's super normal. In the grand scheme of things, whatever shade you ultimately select, will look beautiful! Good luck!

There are plenty of dark gray dresses out there. Look up names like charcoal, pewter, smoke, slate, etc. David's definitely has some, as do Lulu's and JJ's House and I am sure I have seen them elsewhere as well.

I personally LOVE dark gray and think it will be a fantastic bridesmaids color.

We used Dessy for our bridesmaids dresses, also in grey! I would check them out because they have tons of grey options. The quality was fantastic and $150 was the maximum any of my bridesmaids spent on their dress (we chose the After Six brand). You can order up to 5 swatches for free too in order to make sure the color is right. We did Azazie at-home try on and visited a Dessy showroom in order to compare, and found Dessy to be higher quality than Azazie. However, I've also worn Azazie before as a bridesmaid and have no complaints, and Azazie is also a bit cheaper.
