My second thread/question today (this should be a new record for me) Are charger plates a must? We are doing a sit down dinner and for whatever reason I haven't even thought about them and now I'm wondering if maybe it's something I should have consider! What are your thoughts?

Nope, definitely not necessary. And I'm a person who looks at details at weddings, but trust me, people will not notice.

I actually went to the Dollar store and bought 18 doilies for $1 and spray painted them gold and they turned out fabulous!! You should just do that instead of spending money on chargers.

I really, really want them, but I don't want to spend another $100 on them.

I definitely had to Google charger plates. Haha. Obviously, we are not having them.

That's a good point about having the tables look pretty for photos if you're doing a buffet. We are doing a buffet but FH doesn't feel like Chargers are worth the extra money but I'm trying to show him that they are!

No. I dated a woman and went to her house for dinner....she used them. I had to ask her what the hell those were. If I lived 40 years without even knowing what they were, I doubt they'll be missed by others.
