Cheap and Unique Cleveland Ohio Venues

Carrie , on August 1, 2016 at 10:27 PM Posted in Ohio Planning 0 21

I have researched high and low for a chic and unique wedding and ceremony venue in the Cleveland Ohio area. We have a strict budget and I'm having such a hard time. Anyone know of any good places?

    The Zoo

    Holden Arboretum

    House of Blues

    Windows on the River

Our favorite venue that we looked at was The Lake Erie Building (aka The Lakewood Screw Factory) in Lakewood. It's very industrial but once you get to the actual space it's beautiful.

ETA: None of these are particularly cheap but I couldn't find anything within our budget here lol. We're getting married outside of Youngstown instead where FH's family lives.

Did you look under the vendor tab?

78th street studios. We are highly considering this place. It's a beautiful art gallery and you transform the space into virtually whatever you want!

Does it have to be in Cleveland or are you willing to look at different locations? When we first started looking and we used the vendor tab it was great for around Cleveland and also Akron/Canton locations. We are about an hour and 20 mins from Cleveland so we found something closer to us.

@LindseyO Youngstown has some beautiful places. We looked into mill creek park but ended up just doing out engagement photos there.

I'm in Cleveland Ohio but I found a beautiful and affordable venue in North Canton.

Locations on the vendor tab are neither cheap nor unique. Anyone who advertises themselves as a wedding venue is going to charge wedding prices; you'll need to do some footwork and creative thinking.

This post is a decent start, but we'll need to know how far outside of downtown you're willing to go.

I'm willing to go as far west as Lorain and as Far East as willoughby and as far south as canton. I think lower than 1500 is a decent price and I really am looking for a place that I can bring my own alcohol and caterer. I would love to have a place that I can bring a white tent and have an outside wedding or a nice barn or nice rustic spot with exposed brick and such.

We're getting married in Girard at the Mahoning Country Club- his family is from Newton Falls and Warren, so a little ways outside of Youngstown. I'm from the west side of Cleveland so I'm not super familiar with the area lol.

There is a barn in Avon. I would check that out. Also, you're going to find it VERY hard to find a hall AND food for under $1500 in our area.

@Angela I'm from Salem. We go that way a lot. We love shopping at menards.

I've seen a couple but have no idea the pricing.

This last one is a barn and they encourage you to have your own caterer and bring your own alcohol.

The vendor tab has all wedding reception venues that everyone knows all wedding reception venues... So they are typically more expensive. I want someplace that isn't really under the tab or doesn't necessarily advertise with wedding wire.

When I was googling areas in Columbus this one came up that I thought was super cool. Definitely chic. Unique? Maybe not so much but beautiful none the less.
