Cheap bridesmaid robes??

Amy, on May 29, 2017 at 11:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 3 52

I'm on the search for cheap(er) bridesmaids robes for getting ready pictures (& no - they are not part of my gifts to my girls)

I've searched AliExpress.com - found some cute ones but I can settle on but nothing I'm in love with. I was hoping to go away from floral silk and go more towards a super soft, cotton style (pictured attached). The closest one I've found so far was $76 each (yikes! I have 7 girls!)

Any tips/ leads would be great! Maybe there is a magical site out there I haven't discovered?

Have you looked on Etsy? I remember seeing some really cute options that you can even get monogrammed!

Robe Mart I got a total of 5 robes including one for me for about $80 . I purchased the waffle robes and then got them monogrammed here locally which was pricey. So it may be cheaper to do Etsy since some shops will do them for you.

EBay has been my best resource for wedding go to. Since the Chinese yang dropped drastically to the dollar a year ago and hasn't gone back up much since then, I was able to find silk robes, kimono-style, for US$7. I have six Bridesmaids.

I have 8 bridesmaids and I'm using the above site. With titles it's about -$30 a robe

Following. I think I'd rather have cotton robes than silk though. I'd use it more after the wedding at least if it was cotton.

This seems an unnecessary expense. However I assume this is your gift to them?

@MelissaHH: If she's paying, it seems like it's a gift! That's 532 bux plus tax and shipping. YIKES girl! I'd definitely call it a gift and not give them anything else.

@Nancy - It's not part of their gifts, its just something I want to do so we can all look cute while getting ready and have nice pictures.

Everyone has their own preferences, this just happens to be mine.

@Nancy if she's buying the robes for pictures, they can't be a gift. It's not a gift if they're using it for the wedding. Same applies for bridesmaid jewelry, accessories etc. Also the whole budget shaming thing you seem to be starting isn't cool. It's her money, so she can spend it how she wants.

OP, I would try etsy. Or honestly even Walmart or target. You'd be surprised what you can find!
