Cheap dresses

Brianah, on November 17, 2019 at 1:02 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

I'm a bride on a budget! A pretty small budget, a lot of which will go toward venue. Any ideas on where I can look for a reasonably priced wedding dress? Any suggestions are appreciated!

You an look on stillwhite for a pre owned dress, or on amazon. I actually got my dress from amazon it’s so beautiful and so much cheaper than bridal shops. Just make sure to check the reviews before buying and make sure they have a return policy in case you don’t like it

David's bridal often has clearance. A friend of mine got her dress from ieie. Com. Beautiful but i wanted the experience of trying on dresses especially my body type.

Amazon or David's bridal supposedly if you purchase online it's way cheaper than in the store (but not 100% sure) or Azazie they have the whole try 3 dresses at home system going on. I definitely would suggest going to an actual bridal store and trying on dresses and always if you find dress you like checking online for that dress for a cheaper price.

I found my dress on the sample rack for $999 orginally price was $1800 so you can always go that route and try and find a sample dress that way you buy it off the rack for that price instead of ordering it.

You should look for consignment wedding shops or ones run by charities. I got mine from a local place where all of the dresses are donated and half of the proceeds go to Haiti. Also, if you fit into sample dresses you should see when nearby shops are having sample sales. You really should contact every shop because even expensive ones may have a room of marked down dresses because they're out of season. It doesn't hurt to ask!

Cocomelody, is where I bought my dress from. Its an online retailer based out of LA. They have a black Friday sale at the end of the month where you can get up to 25% off and free custom sizing. I bought my dress during last black Friday sale 2018 and my wedding is next month! I got the dress about mid January. The customer service was amazing and chatted with me for like two weeks getting the proper measurements before making my dress. The dress fit like a glove! and was the same exact dress from the picture! I spent months reading every review on the sight to make sure it was legit and then I decided to take the plunge because of the sale! They also offer for you to send your measurements in later if your wedding isn't to close.(also I never went to a bridal store to try on dress, I literally found a dress I liked on the sight and ordered it! best decision ever and I saved a lot! Plus the price of the dress was a steal!)

Definitely check David’s Bridal and Lulus and BHLDN. All online stores with good return policies.

I just went to macys on Friday and got a 2nd dress for going out in after the wedding. It's an Adrianna Papell dress on clearance for $70. Regularly $280. May check there today if you can. They also have beautiful dresses on their site, depending on your budget and what your looking for they're still cheaper than most bridal shops.

Just be aware if you do get a dress and it needs alterations they can sometimes be pricey depending on what needs to be done. So please consider that in your budget as well.

You can also call up bridal shops and ask when their next sample sale is and prices. Sample sales might only be up to 50% (helpful might might not be enough for you if the dress original price is $2K-$5K). But to get rid of a lot of past inventory they might sell those dresses for $300-$800. It just depends on the shop.

David's Bridal has quite a few dresses for a couple hundred, I don't know what your budget is but for a nice dress that's not too bad. My dress from there was $998, but I was able to get it for $898, another one that I loved though was only $400. Luckily my parents paid for my dress since my whole wedding budget is about $3500 xD. I would definitely try looking at pre-owned sites or even facebook marketplace/Craigslist. Sometimes you can find a great deal.

I would go with something that isn't bridal. So prom or evening gowns. Or even a bridesmaid dress in white. The idea is finding a beautiful gown and it doesn't need to be labeled as bridal for it to be bridal

I spent less than $500 on a custom sized dress from Coco Melody. They’re doing 25% off and free shipping for Black Friday. My bridesmaids got their dresses there too.
