Cheap venue spaces that allow outside caterer and alcohol

Hi! I am just beginning to experience the joys of wedding planning. Our budget is VERY tight since we are paying for it by ourselves. My fiance and I have a local family restaurant in mind we would like to cater our wedding, but the problem is finding a variety of halls/venues that will allow...

Hi!

I am just beginning to experience the joys of wedding planning. Our budget is VERY tight since we are paying for it by ourselves. My fiance and I have a local family restaurant in mind we would like to cater our wedding, but the problem is finding a variety of halls/venues that will allow outside catering AND outside alcohol. Not to mention, the space look nice enough for a wedding (really don't want to go the VFW hall route if possible). If possible we would like to find a space big enough for 120 people and scenic enough to have a ceremony and reception there. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!! Thank you!!!

    Keep in mind that a cheaper venue rental may mean you end up paying more in the end for tables, chairs, linens, silverware, etc etc! Paying more upfront for an all-inclusive space may save you $$$ in the long run!

    Thanks everyone!! Great tips! The summer camps around me are great, but they supply their own caterer - no outside caterer. If we have to compromise and use the venue's caterer then it's not the end of the world. I've been looking for rentals where they supply tables and chairs so we don't have to rent too much, but I know we will have to rent certain things! So far civic centers and community centers have been the most practical/convenient!
