Cheap wedding gift idea

Sadie, on January 17, 2022 at 9:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
So I am needing an affordable gift idea for guests to take home. I was thinking a candy station for guests to fill up a goody bag but with Covid and kiddos I think that might be a no. I also want it to be something that people could keep, maybe a photo booth? I’m open to any ideas!

It’s totally ok to skip favors! Not really expected anymore. But if you really want to offer something, make it edible or it may get left behind. Wrapped cookie, cake pop, brownie, etc.

Favors? Honestly, skip them and put money toward good food, free drinks or great dj that they will appreciate and remember. Favors get left behind or thrown out, even when they are edibles such as cookies and candy.

Wedding favors are totally optional and are fine to skip, though if you really want to do them, you could do something like mini hand lotions or mini hand sanitizer, decks of cards (fairly cheap to buy in bulk on Oriental Trading Company), mini photo frames with a generic love quote or a heart on them (I would avoid putting your name/wedding date on them though), gourmet cookies, individually wrapped candies (chocolate bars, or mini jars of M&Ms, or bags of gummy bears, etc), or really anything edible. I would choose something that you would be OK with having leftovers of, just in case not everyone takes one. If you have a photo booth at your wedding, that would be a fun favor for guests to take home with them!

We are getting hand fans for our guests. Our wedding is in August.

I personally would skip the favors. It’s extra money spent that guests really don’t care about. Put that money toward your menu or alcohol which are things people care about.

If you feel compelled to get something, what about small candles or an edible item?

I love photobooths at weddings. Everyone already takes photos at weddings, but now they'll have some printed out. So that has my vote.
