Cheaper Venues near Virginia Beach

Most venues I looked at were above $3000, and that was just for the venue (not including food and drinks). I'm sure there are some restaurants you can rent out for the night, probably near the chicks beach?

I'm unsure of the cost but I know Waterman's (on 5th street and Atlantic) hosts weddings in their Attic frequently. It's a beautiful space and right on the boardwalk - could be worth checking out.

Do you have anyone in your family who is military and who can be a sponsor for you? On base venues are cheaper and they have bar/food options. I'm having mine on Dam Neck and the total cost for venue/bar/food was about $2k (off season but on a Saturday with about 60 people). Mine will be indoors but out the window/on balcony, you can see the beach. If the weather cooperates, we plan to have some pictures on the beach.
