I felt very stressed out watching that show yes they saved money, but was it worth all the extra stress of having vendors show up late or not show up at all? To me, No, I'd rather spend more and not have to be so stressed about everything. I finished the seires and only one or two couples actually got to enjoy their day, everyone else had so many things go wrong that they had to fix that they couldn't enjoy their day.

Most couples have budgets, it’s just varying amounts. that’s why one thing that’s stressed on here is to make a budget first, that way you know what to spend and such.

I’ve heard of this show, haven’t watched it yet.

All that stress showed on the bride and grooms faces and will definitely show in their photos. There are definitely ways to be budget conscious like no save the dates, no floral centerpieces, smaller guest list is always the best way, etc. But this show took it to an extreme. If you didn't enjoy the day because you were so busy gluing your bouquet together, calling the limo company, or wondering where the DJ is, was that really worth the money you spent?


There's give and take here. Don't stress yourself out trying to DIY or sacrifice yours and your guests experience due to budget.

I watched it. And cringed throughout most of it. A lot things that happened coukdnahhe easily been avoided.

I watched the series. It's a good reminder of where to spend the budget and why you can't skimp on some things.

I loved that show!!! It was pretty cathartic watching other couples planning their day in an odd way - I guess it just helps to show that stress in planning is pretty much the norm, and in the end your attitude and future spouse are what makes the day special

I'm just finishing the first episode and can see where it's stressful to watch things go wrong buuuut also helps reinforce what not to do. Though it is kind of fun to watch spaces be transformed without much money- some couples did it better than others.

Not sure I'll watch more than one or two episodes!

Anyone know of other wedding shows on Netflix or Amazon prime? couldn't find many

For others, I just watched Unveiled...about brides getting plastic surgery before their day. FH and I were both pretty much horrified, but I couldn't stop watching.

Four weddings is available on demand. I have comcast, but you may also be able to watch on the TLC app

I watched it and while some of the things they did made sense, a lot of it was poor hosting.

I literally LOVE that show! I made my husband watch it with me to get ideas for our DIY wedding and it brought up things I never thought about before like buying nice glasses and selling them/having them picked up the morning after the wedding to get some money back and not have hoards of junk in your house! I especially love the episode with the country boy marrying the red head with tattoos...you'll see lol

Also weddings average $65,000 in Australia??? Hot damn lol
