Cheesecake questions

I was wondering what every ones thoughts were... FH and I wanted to do cheesecake instead of normal cake for the wedding. I'm thinking it may present itself more challenging than I was expecting, and possibly more expensive? Idk, I felt like I was curious what others thought? Thanks in advance

    I love cake....and I love cheesecake. :-)

The only thing that I would be concerned with is your outdoor venue and keeping cheesecake at the proper temperature. Not only for "melting", but for food poisoning. Since it is cream cheese and eggs, it needs to be kept chilled.

I love the idea of having a cutting cheesecake for the reception & an assortment of cake & cheesecake bites

I like cheesecake, but at a wedding, I'm a bit more traditional and want regular cake! I would do a small regular cake-decorated and use for cutting (assuming you're doing that). Have a cheesecake or two in addition that came be brought out later so they're not sitting out all day.

It's your day and you and FH should have what you love. I'm one of those people that is not so fond of cake, so I think it's a fab idea!

We are doing cheesecakes and getting a sheet cake from Costco. We don't like regular cake but are aware that not everyone likes cheesecake so we got a mix. Only logistical thing to worry about is the heat. I think we will leave the cheesecakes in the fridge up until the very last minute and then bring them out so they are nice and cold when served.
