chicken dance- yay or nay?

It was a big hit at my sisters wedding when a band played it! she also did it specifically bc her m-i-l didnt think it would be fun....but it was!

Nay. I am not a fan of any group dance outside of conga lines. But my mom did request (on the website) the Chicken Dance. I told her our band refused to play it.

We are doing the Chicken Dance cause of we will be have kids at the wedding and they love it

Love it! I posted about this the other day. I love all of the group dances. Some of the other WW members posted some other songs I hadn't thought of yet.

FH hates to dance...I mean it's almost a phobia. I got him to do the Chicken Dance at my friend's wedding last November...it was awesome!

I will be playing a lot of cutesy songs - mainly because my mentally handicapped brother LOVES them. So bring on the Chickens and the slides!

Not a fan... but it's not a tradition in my family. I think it's yay or nay based on family tradition.

Nayy for us, but at some weddings people really get into it! Depends on the crowd. No one would join at ours (except maybe co-workers that have had 1 too many)

Totally depends on your crowd. It's a love it or hate it kind of thing for most people. We did it and everyone LOVED it. We also had a variety of ages so I think that plays a part

Im a YAY kinda girl, lmao..brings me back to my HS band days, lol....(yea yea yea, band geek...i KNOW) anyhow, it gets ppl up, and the kids will love it! =)

@Crystal, I'm right there with you. I was a figure skating instructor for years. Whenever I had to teach skating camps or if I was hired to teach lessons at kids' birthday skating party, I would have to bust out the chicken dance. It's HORRIBLE. I would seriously have nightmares involving that wretched song.

I'm not necessarily opposed to other group dance songs. Some of them are fun. I just can't do the chicken dance...I just can't.
