Chiffon fabric draping

I work in the fabric section at hobby lobby! We sell chiffon by the yard and by the bolt. Given the dimensions you said, i would say at least 8 yards, but you may possibly want to double it to stretch/cover the 5 ft depth. I thinkkkk our chiffon by the yard is either 5.99/yd or 7.99, I can't remember. You can buy a whole bolt of chiffon whichis around 9 or 10 yards for $30, but the color choices are very limited for that.

Looking at that picture again, there's a decent amount of fabric. 8 yards is the bare minimum you would need to go from top to bottom but the more you get the fuller it will look! Maybe you could add some tulle into it?

I feel like this is a serious math problem. I’m going with 40’... 7 down + 8 across + 2 for the little dip + several loops around the top beam at 5 = 40’ in my brain.
