China dishes and silver

I already have silver (my grandmother has been collecting a beautiful vintage set for me), but I'm not sure if it will ever actually get used. We aren't asking for China, but we'll probably ask for more everyday things since we can always use more. We use the IKEA 365 dishes that someone else said they used. Highly recommend because I look timeless and chic but are super cheap (not super durable though).

My mom was upset that we didn't register for china but we both work holidays and rarely entertain other than wine night. She harped on it until I asked if when she and my dad got divorced, was the china something they fought over? She said no and laughed and quit bugging me after that.

We registered for an everyday set (Fiestaware) and a nicer dinnerware set (Noritake) that could be used for entertaining if needed. I already have fine China that belonged to my great-grandmother but I doubt we'll use it because of its sentimental value to me.

We registered for China. DH and I use it about once a week for just us and also when people come over.

I've always admired fine china, so I was really excited to register for it. We love to entertain!
