Christmas cards

Sheila, on November 27, 2019 at 1:16 PM Posted in Married Life 0 11
I creating the Christmas card for this year and I would like to include the fact that we got married this year with one of our pictures. Is that cheese? I would like to know because maybe because of my excitement I can be blind about it plus I didn’t invite many people (only 12 people) and I don’t know if will be awkward to send them this kind of cards.

If they are close enough to receive christmas cards, they should have already received announcements, even if they were not invited. That said, they have to know some time and if worded right, including the picture would actually be a really good thing.

I ordered our Christmas cards from Shutterfly a few days ago, and we used a "happy holidays from the new Mr & Mrs" template with a wedding photo - I think it's totally fine to do!

We are doing a Christmas card! It says “Merry Christmas from the {our last name}” and has a photo from our wedding of us with our 2 dogs! We are only sending them to our family and close friends, who we know are all going to love them!

Totally fine to include a wedding photo and say something like “From the newlyweds” or “from Mr(s). & Mr(s). Lastname.

Hi Kristal! Thanks for your response , now you got me concerned because I didn’t send announcement that we were getting married. Like I mentioned, our wedding was extremely intimate. I feel now bad because we didn’t do that step of sending this announcement, I actually thought that sending this Christmas card will be kind of a confirmation about our union. I need to think about a better idea. Thanks love❤️

No that’s not cheesy! It’s an exciting thing to announce and I’m sure plenty of people would like to hear that news, plus a nice Christmas card! We sent thank you cards to majority if our guests but the last few that trickled I’m I have yet to send cards to..we’re gonna send Christmas cards saying thank you to make sure they know we didn’t forget. In our case I figure better late than never 😬😬 lol
