How super lame would it be to have a Christmas themed wedding in June?

I guess whatever floats your boat! Does that mean a x-mas wedding with x-mas wedding attire and decorations too! Might as well hire St. Nick hehe

I think it’d be a little odd BUT the whole “Christmas in july” thing is kinda common. Although I’m a HUGE christmas person, my wedding is actually a December Christmas wedding, but I’m not really into it until October.

Why is that risky ? I was in a NH wedding dec 27, there’s nothing really risky as january and feb are the “worst” storms. I think traveling the summer for MA and NE are more expensive than the winter.

Do what makes you and FH happy. Who cares what anyone else thinks. I find it sad how judgmental so many people are when going to someone's wedding.

Definitely bizarre. Could be cool though. Smiley smile Would definitely let guests know ahead of time and really play upon the winter escape idea. Invitations should indicate this as well. Otherwise guests will probably see the Christmas lights and be *very* confused lol.

The weather has been getting worse these last few years. There was a blizzard this past Christmas, and flights are more expensive for out of town guests.

I guess I would find it a bit childish. I am not sure why it seems that way to me but so it is.

That's weird, never heard of that, and I've lived in Massachusetts my whole life.

So have I. I always thought December would be fine because it almost always has been but there's been snow the last two years. Who knows...ill probably pick it anyway 😊

I think you do you! If you’re known for being obsessed with christmas, than that’s you! I wouldn’t let someone else thinking it’s “strange” stop you

I think if it's something you and your FH are known for and it's important to you then do it! Is it the traditional way of doing things? No, but your wedding day is a day to celebrate you and your FH and it should be celebrated in a way that represents you guys. Christmas in July is a thing so why not Christmas in June?

Why would guests need to be notified ahead of time? It’s not like they need to be prepared for something. Besides, wedding invites go out 6-8 weeks before a wedding. I’m sure if OP did it, her invitations would hint at the idea anyway.

Christmas in July would be awesome! I think it would be something you would definitely need to be on point with your decorations and go all out! This is going to sound corny, but do you guys have a big Christmas specific store where you live? We have one here and it is super decorated and gorgeous! If you could have your wedding at a place like that it would make decorating so much easier!

I think you should go for it! Christmas in June would be fun and interesting - and you'll be sticking to what you love, which is really important.

As a side note, you could easily away with a Christmas themed wedding in November. Usually November has fewer storms.

Honestly I say go for it. If you love Christmas do it. I think that if anyone knows you and knows how much you love Christmas they wouldn't think twice about it. I think as long as your venue is totally inside it will be perfect. Can't wait to see photos.

If it’s what you want, do it! I don’t think it would be weird especially for everyone who knows you! They would think it is great and goes along with who y’all are! That’s how I would think anyway!
