Church Brides , please chime in !

Team_Rayford, on November 5, 2013 at 4:06 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12

I'm having the hardest time with decor for the church. For sure I will have a fabric canopy with 2 floral centerpieces on acrylic pedestals at the altar . (As Shown in Photo) My issue is decor for the aisle. I was thinking about just using satin chair sashes and have the florist add a few flowers. (As Shown in Photo)

Wow, that's pretty. We won't be decorating the church much because it's very old and ornate as it is but you're on top of it. GOrgeous!

Does your church have pew candles? That made it really easy. 16 tall pew candles and floor length bows

Have you checked with your church to see what they allow for decorations? My Catholic church is very strict and only allow (2) three-foot tall alter arrangements and pew bows. Churches have a lot of classic beauty and don't need to be completely re-done a la David Tutera. I would save that for the reception space!

I'm not going to be any help. Our chapel is beaaaaautiful and actually won't need any decoration.

I like the first picture that you have up. If the church gives the green-light for it, I think that would be beautiful!

We are putting pew flowers on only the front family rows, 2 large bouquets on the alter, and perhaps a couple in windows (havenʻt decided how many)

@team-rayford I feel where you're coming from I'm going to pretend like that red carpet isn't there and arrange purple petal between pomander that will sit in vases. I'll have two tall one as the alter

My church is also a Catholic church and only allows very minimal decoration- we can't put anything on the pews!

We are getting married in the Catholic church too but are very lucky there are very few restrictions. we are just doing pew bows with some flowers, probably put an arrangement up by the alter for in remembrance of our grandparents and that's it. The church always has flowers arrangements around and we aren't allowed to remove any of their decorations.

The only restrictions i have are I can only use dripless candles. I can't attach anything to the furniture using nails or anything like that. Or I can't move any furniture unless it the pulpit podium piece . Other than that I pretty much do as I please.

Is anyone getting a aisle runner ? I'm leaning more towards not having one !
