I don't want to lie to the one who marries us that I will not force a religion onto my family and raise them catholic. What should I do?

I am in the same boat as you Jim, but it is my mother that is forcing my fiance and I to get married in a Catholic Church. Like everyone here, I also was raised Catholic but I have my own personal opinions and do not practice the religion or belief in it either. Originally when my fiance spoke to my parents before proposing to me, he was very straightforward and told them that we will not be having a church ceremony. He is not religious at all and doesn't feel it's right to be married in Catholic Church when he does not believe in it. Two years later cause of COVID, my mother freaks out once I tell her we already booked a venue for an outdoor ceremony. The conversation got really awkward to the point where she started crying and said that it would be a complete embarrassment to our family if we did not have a church ceremony and she would not invite any of our family and she would show up herself!
At this moment I have already accepted that my parents will not be at my wedding and sadly I am okay with it.
