Church wedding processional in a single song

Mich, on November 14, 2019 at 6:36 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9

Hi there! My bridesmaids and I will be walking in to a single song. But there isn't a quiet instrumental after the last bridesmaid.

How do we announce for everyone to stand for the bride? Do we announce it over the music? Or is closing the doors after the last bridesmaid enough of a cue for everyone to stand?

Your officiant can ask everyone to please rise.

I agree with PP that your officiant will tell everyone

At the weddings I've attended, I've only seen officiants make the announcement to rise for the bride. It worked out fine!

    The officiant usually does this!

But there's no appropriate time in the middle of my song for him to announce it. Do they just talk over the music?

I think closing the doors after the last BM, then as the doors open, usually the MOB is the first to rise and everyone else follows. Daughter's officiant didn't need to say anything.

This! If your mom is not walking you down the aisle, everyone will see her rise and that's their cue.

My BMs and I also walked out to the same song. When it came time for me, my pastor just made a hand gesture indicating for people to stand up. I also agree with MOB So Cal that it is traditional for the MOB to stand up first and then everyone follows so your mom could do that too.
