Church Wedding With Red Carpet

Erica, on December 21, 2021 at 3:10 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13
So, I had planned to have our wedding colors as Blush Pink, Navy Blue that accents with Champagne. Now, the church venue is finalized and they have traditional red carpet… I’m unsure if I want to keep those colors… just don’t think that blush pink and red would work. I’m looking for photos on line and haven’t found any. I really want nice photos that are cohesive and timeless. Thoughts?Church Wedding With Red Carpet 1

I think blush and red (and navy) can be balanced together beautifully. Because the red carpeting is fairly traditional for a church, as long as your colors don’t clash with it (and they don’t), I don’t think the carpet will stand out or seem out of place in your photos.

That said, If you’re worried about cohesiveness and/or want it to feel intentional, I would suggest just thinking about red as part of your palette — blush and navy with accents of champagne and red — and maybe adding small pops of red to your florals to tie it all together Church Wedding With Red Carpet 2Church Wedding With Red Carpet 3

Thank you I’ve been up looking and concluded the same I found this picture.. adding in a deep red rose or flower tied in the colors. In this photo the groom has on tan, but otherwise this is the style I was going for.. guess I’ll be adding in red 😂Church Wedding With Red Carpet 4

I wouldn’t be too worried about using blush with red- Especially if you incorporated red into your color palette and balanced it out with a little white. Here are a few inspo pics….

Honestly, I think navy would be more difficult to incorporate than blush. I think navy would have to be done very particularly to make it not look reminiscent of Fourth of July.

Thanks! I appreciate your comment too! So I have since found this and like you stated… looks like I’ll be ditching the navy. I wanted a soft look. I liked that blush pink, and gold/ white combo. Church Wedding With Red Carpet 8

Here’s a navy one but it’s a lil more hard look than I wanted: seems nautical.

I agree, adding the navy gives a much heavier feel- not the soft, light look you’re going for.

I did the same thing! I was leaning towards blush and navy, but then decided marsala (burgundy/wine) and blush would coordinate better with our venues. Our church has a dark burgundy carpet, while the reception space has exposed brick.

Adding pops of red to your flowers will really bring it all together!! 💐❤️

My wedding colors were gold, blush pink, and burgundy - and having a variety of pink and red hues in my floral arrangements helped us easily work with the red church carpeting:

You can use any colors you want. Guests understand that the carpet is out of your control and won’t bat an eye if you pick colors you love rather than what matches the carpet.

I was thinking that as well. The carpet of the church shouldn't matter. But I guest I understand wanting everything to match perfectly

Our venue has dark red walls, so we worked our color scheme around that. We chose navy and dusty blue as our primary colors, with burgundy, cream, blush as our florals to tie it in to the walls but also brighten it up.

I used Layout to make sure it would look good. Here is the venue (bottom left) with my inspiration pics.

Sounds like you are extremely feminine and thought about the groom with the navy blue but champagne sounds expensive or blending in for the space sack
