Hello All,

Contemplating purchasing a Cricut for wedding DIY projects.

If you have one, please let me know your thoughts on it. Also, if you've done any awesome wedding projects please show them off!

Thanks in advance!!!

I have the Explore Air 2, and I love it. Here is an invitation sleeve I was playing around with.

Will you use it besides the wedding? I have a Cricut and I absolutely love it but I use it for things that are not wedding related. Unless you are DIY'ing more than half of your wedding and will use it after the wedding I would say it's not worth the investment

Yes! Do it! I recently bought a Silhouette Cameo and am obsessed! I can't wait to do wedding projects with it! Here are some shirts I made for a friends 30th birthday trip!

Cameo Silhouette is what we bought my mom for Christmas - she's still on the learning curve of it, but we love it

My mom has one and I love it! We mostly use it for scrap booking or my brothers school projects, but I am excited to see what it can do for the wedding! We've made some awesome holiday cards too. It's an investment to get all of the accessories to try everything they are capable of, but we use it enough that it's worth it.

We have a Silhouette Cameo that we'll be using for the writing for our personalized 'Welcome to our Wedding' sign, plus a couple other little projects.

P.S. there's a typo in your title so you may want to fix that so those that know what a Cricut is actually know that you're talking about a Cricut and not some sort of circuit. You might also want to add 'Silhouette Cameo/Portrait' to the title as well since you're looking specifically for projects that all machines can handle--you'll likely attract more people to your post.

FH got me one for Christmas. If you are only using it for wedding purposes then I say it is a waste. If crafts are a hobby and you will use it for other projects then yes get one! When I first got it, it was difficult to use just for the simple fact that I'm too much of a perfectionist. But once you get the hang of the machine and the Cricut Design space, it is awesome~

I want one. They are cool. However they are pretty expensive so if you won't use it after the wedding I wouldn't get one.

So in love with mine, but agree it's a big investment/learning curve if you don't have design experience (I was familiar with photoshop/Indesign previously) and aren't going to use it after the wedding.

But I've made a few little things for my wedding and a bunch of stuff for fun! I made these shirts for FH's bachelor party, for example.

And I'm making a ton of these paper flowers for the smaller tables that I'm not buying arrangements for (wish I had a pic of my overflowing bowl of them that I've done so far, but this is the only one I've taken of them)
