Hi everyone! Due to covid we end up postponing our original wedding date till next November 2021. My fiancé and I are still having a civil wedding this Friday and our religious church ceremony along with reception till next year. My question is, if im getting married this Friday, should I start wearing my wedding band once married through court or wait till next year. Thoughts? Thank you! Smiley heart

    It's totally up to you! I personally would probably wear my wedding band after the civil ceremony in that scenario since I would be married, but if you felt that you wanted to wait until your larger celebration, you could do that as well. Regardless of if you start wearing the wedding band this year or not, you could always still exchange rings again at your religious ceremony next year.

    It’s a personal choice, but I would wear my wedding band when I got married, not wait until I throw a party. Your ring should commemorate your wedding, not a celebration.

    Yes, because you are married. A courthouse wedding is just as much a wedding as an affair for 100 people. Enjoy that ring, girl!

    I would definitely be excited to wear my wedding ring after the civil ceremony! After all, the ring represents that you are married, not that you have had a wedding.
