Does anyone have an idea on how civil weddings work in Cook County, preferably the one in downtown? I’ve never been to one, and I’ve done some research, but the one in downtown doesn’t allow appointments. So I’m wondering how long the wait would typically be on a Saturday and how long does it normally take for the whole “ceremony?” And what it entails? Thanks in advance!

Hey Nicole, have you been able to get any more information from the county yet? Are you allowed to go down there now, is it open enough, that you could stop by on a Saturday and ask around and observe how busy it is? Will you be going to the same building to get your marriage license? Maybe they will provide all that kind of information at that time.
