Claire De lune?

Chloe, on October 11, 2018 at 1:24 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 11
Has anyone walked to Claire De lune? I’m have the hardest time finding a song to play before it for the rest of the bridal party to walk to. Almost ready to give up and change to a different song but thought I’d ask here first.

thank you!

No I haven’t but why are you having a hard time with it?

I haven't walked in to it but it is my all time favorite classical song. It bring tears to my eyes every time I hear it.

Do you have a DJ playing the processional music? He or she would have tons of ideas I bet, and can point you in the direction of what would coordinate nicely with it

It’s just such a slow whimsical song that it’s hard to put anything behind it without it sounding strange

Hey Chloe!!! I agree with Victoria, if you've got a DJ for either your ceremony or your reception, I would ask them for a recommendation. They're the music professionals. Smiley smile

I personally love Clair de Lune and, at least in my mind, a good complement to it would be Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. It's a little darker, but it's got a nice low beat and I feel like it would contrast perfectly if your bridal party comes in and then the change in lightness when you enter would be...not startlingly, but noticeable to draw everyone's attention.

Do you have an idea for what song(s) to play as you and your party recess?

I’ll look into it! Thanks for the suggestion! After the ceremony I really wanted to play penny lane to lighten the mood. (I know, weird) 🤣

I actually think that is awesome. When we were originally planning a brunch wedding I was dead set on playing “Here comes the Sun” for our entrance bc we got up before the crack of dawn on our first trip to the beach. Sat on the lifeguard station and played it as we watched the sun come up.

How many do you have in the bridal party? Check out Postcards From Far Away by Coldplay. There's an extended version somewhere on Youtube! It's more lively than Clair de Lune, but it is delicate and very pretty. I think they would complement each other Smiley smile
