Clay Bouquet?

MrsO, on November 8, 2011 at 11:29 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

So I was looking through google images for some bridal bouquet inspiration and I came across a bouquet that I absolutely loved. Imagine my surprise when I realized it wasn't real flowers, or silk flowers, it was made of clay. As anyone ever heard of these before or seen them in person?

This is the person's etsy shop and this was the bouquet that I absolutely loved (was on her blog, not in her shop)

Never seen them in person but those def looked real to me. Clay though? I'd think long and hard before actually going through with that.

Yea, I'm not sure if I would actually buy the clay one (a little pricey and I would like to be able to see them in person) but they look so real. My mind is blown lol.

It's lovely, but how sturdy is it?

I saw her bouquets as well when I was trying to decide if wanted to go with a non "real" flower option. I loved her work but never found anyone who had seen one live. Good luck! I think it's beautiful.

Martha Stewart has a DIY on them

She says they are soft, lightweight, and durable.

I don't think I could actually make my own though.

Very pretty...but the only reason i would get a fake bouquet was either because it was cheaper or because it LOOKED unique. That thing is $500 dollars alone and it looks like a regular bouquet of flowers. But if you really like it and have that money go for it.

I certainly agree that it is pricey. I'm not arguing that. I don't necessarily agree that it is a bad thing that they look like real flowers though. It is another option to have a real looking bouquet that won't die like real flowers.
