Hey all! So I got engaged 6/16/16 and my ring was SOOO shiny

Hey all! So I got engaged 6/16/16 and my ring was SOOO shiny <3. He had purchased from Helzberg, the closest one is an hour and a half from us so we barely go there for anything let alone a cleaning of the ring. I was curious if anyone cleans their own ring, and what they use etc. obviously I won't get it as spiffy as the store but just to spruce it up a bit. Opinions?

I have a jewelry cleaner that I use. It was cheap on Amazon.

You should have it dipped every six months and resized when you need to. I got mine done for $40 at my local jeweler, both at the same time, it looked like new!

Agree with Tulllock. I just go to a store and have it cleaned.

I use the same cleaner @WWLaura posted. It works perfectly! As PP stated, you can take it into any jewelry store and they will clean it for free. Just ask them if they can clean it while you browse.

On a regular basic I just use a toothbrush and dish soap. Works like a charm.

I get mine buffed/polished/re-dipped at Diamond's Direct for free (only if it needs it. So, basically I've taken it once and may take it again before the wedding).

I use tooth pasta and tooth brush, or peroxide, or keep on un the shower for a good clean. Once it accidently went through the washer and it was the shiniest I have ever seen it
