Clearwater Bachelorette Party?

Alexis, on June 26, 2018 at 11:49 AM Posted in Florida Planning 1 6
Hi all! So I’m not from Florida, but my parents are going to be moving to the Clearwater/St Petersburg area next month so I was thinking maybe it’d be a good place to go next year for my bachelorette party! What are some fun things to do? Bars, clubs, brewery tours, pedal bar tours, boating, jetskiing, beaches, etc? I just want to know if it’s a fun destination for parties or not! Thanks Smiley smile

Hi Alexis!! I have heard great things about the Clearwater area! It's a great place to live but also has a great party scene for you! Are you getting married down there as well? I found an article from a girl who went to St. Petersburg for her friend's bachelorette party, thought it might have some good info for you! I'll link it below for you, hope it helps Smiley smile

No I’m not getting married there, the wedding is in Upper Michigan. I was just thinking that maybe my parents would provide a cheap place for my girls and I to stay, so I was curious if Clearwater/St Petersburg had fun things to do for a bachelorette party Smiley smile

I am from the st.pete/clearwater area! I personally prefer St. Pete for a bachelorette party. But St. petersburg is a big town. You have St. Pete beach and downtown St. Pete, and they are a 10-20 minute uber from one another. Downtown St. Pete has lots of bars, breweries and little artsy restaurants. St. Pete beach is an older beach town with lots of Air BnB/VRBO rentals. The St. Pete beach hotels and resorts are much older than the hotels in clearwater. Most of st pete beach hotels are old motels converted into cute hipstery boutique hotels. There are plenty of bars right on the beach in St. Pete. Clearwater beach is very family friendly, but there are still some bars and clubs. Most the resorts/hotels are newer in clearwater. You will find more big corporate chain hotels in clearwater like Hyatt, wyndham, marriot etc. Downtown St. Pete has a much better night life and it is about a 40 minute uber from clearwater. Both are pretty touristy. You wont find many locals in clearwater beach but you will see them in St. Pete beach. Both beaches are also a little crowded but clearwater is definietely a little more congested with lots to do. It really depends on what you like and what you are hoping to do on your bachelorette trip! I hope this helps!

Alexis - I just came across your post, and was wondering if you could help me out! I am helping my friend who is the bride-to-be plan her bachelorette in this same area and kind of don't know where to begin since I live in DC.

Did you wind up having your bach trip here?! If so, do you have any recommendations / must do's / avoids that you could share? I would REALLY appreciate the help.

Hopefully you loved your bach, and all of the rest of your wedding planning Smiley smile

I didn’t end up doing it there because I didn’t want to make my girls pay for a flight too. We’ve decided to go to Nashville next month instead Smiley smile
