Coffee favors?

Nadine, on January 26, 2014 at 7:55 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 34

What would you think if you got coffee grounds as a wedding favor? Would you enjoy it? If your a not a coffee drinker what would you think?

Were thinking of giving a pots worth of ground coffee. His family are huge coffee drinkers and we were thinking of doing like a nice roast in a small jar (but still enough in it to make a 12 cup pot of coffee)

We would put it in a little tin or jar like one of these. Were also going to give Jordan Almonds with that because that is what my mother really wants as well

Which look is better glass or tin?

All opinions welcome, good or bad!

I would definitely use the coffee! I think it's a cute idea.

FH and I are big coffee drinkers too. I think if it wasn't for all the sugar and carbs in the creamer, (and for my kidneys) I would drink nothing but during the winter. I love the idea! Maybe make a special name for your roast, and if it matters I am more of a fan of the second tin. Very cute.

I like it! I love coffee and I think it would be a great favor. Perhaps you could do something similar with tea in case you have guests that prefer it? I know you can find loose leaf teas at certain stores.

I love the coffee idea! Maybe you could mix it up and have chocolate favors as an option for those that don't drink coffee.

Not a coffee drinker, I'd probably give it to my mom or something.

I love that idea! I agree with @Kristen. Maybe mix hot chocolate and coffee? That way people can have a similar option, if they're not big on coffee.

Yes, but go with whole bean coffee not ground. Ground coffee goes stale Smiley sad

Leanne we werent going to go with whole beans because not everyone has a coffee grounder. It shouldnt go stale if we dont get it ready till a few days ahead of time right?

I love the idea, you could even write something cute on it like "love is brewing" or "the perfect blend!"

Even if you aren't a coffee drinker, it's a really cute favor. It's something important to you and your groom which makes it really special!

If it's ground you can put it in the freezer so it doesn't go stale. Smiley smile

Coffee doesn't go stale if you store it in your freezer. I should know - I have a plethora of it in there! I also love the ideas for hot chocolate as well. Probably better than my tea idea.

I love coffee, but I'd likely throw that away as a favor. I only make it on weekends and I make 8 cups. So unless you can fit 4 scoops in there... not enough for a pot!

I'm not a coffee drinker, FH is, as long as it's straight up regular coffee. That said, if it was something flavored or a "gourmet" type coffee, it would likely get left. If it was just a nice roast of a regular coffee, I'd probably take it with for FH, but I wouldn't personally drink it. I'd be all about the Jordan almonds though!

Oh yeah not flavored stuff. Just nice coffee

Jessie as i said we would put enough for a 12 cup pot of coffee in it.

I think it's cute and I think I like the tin better. We're doing Dominican coffee in the welcome bags that can be used in guests hotel rooms. I'm thinking of using small cloth drawstring bags.

That's a great idea. If guests are non coffee drinkers, I still think it's ok. After all, not everyone likes all wedding favors.

I like the tin better than the glass. The glass would show too much of the coffee, which isn't as cute as a decorated tin.

Could you do coffee and tea or cocoa? that way the non-coffee drinkers have something to drink as well. I think I like the tins the best.

I would enjoy it, but I enjoy coffee :-)
