Cold feet🤣🦶❄️

Sylvie, on March 7, 2020 at 7:59 PM Posted in Married Life 0 12
Has anyone had second thoughts about getting married? Cold feet, or thought about jumping the train to Georgia 😂😂😂😂..... My only fear is a “change” after marriage... We’ve been together for 9 1/2 years and so far so good! So far he’s been quite the same person🕺

After 91/2 years I am pretty sure you know how he is lol. Men for the most part show who they are.

Just remember, marriage isn’t about “changing” it’s about growing as a couple. After 9 1/2 years, I would hope you two already know your faults and idiosyncrasies and have no desire to make each other someone else.

Don’t be scared, it’s just a piece of paper that’s binding you a little closer.

Yeah after 9.5 years, I'd be super comfortable with my partner. My FH and I have been together for 6 years. He and I live together already and act as if we are married. The only difference will be that we will sign a legal form that says we are married but emotionally and spiritually, we already are.

I never had second thoughts or cold feet. If I did, I wouldn’t have got married.

DH and I were together 7 years before we got married. It's been over 6 months - not much has changed. Perhaps a feeling of deeper permanence?

If I had gotten cold feet, I would have gone to counseling to see why.

The MOST that happened was the occasional random weird thought of, "*WHAT* are we doing?" ...Which was almost always related to the costs or the logistics. Then I'd just look at him and be like, "Oh, yeah, it's him."

I didn't have second thoughts at all and my husband said he didn't either. After 9 1/2 years I wouldn't worry about anything changing after marriage. I will say, I'm not expert and have only been married for a week, but thus far the only thing that has changed is my name. We still act the exact same that we did before we were married. My husband said the only thing different for him is that his left hand is heavier, lol.

I never felt cold feet with my fiance. I love him so much and couldn't imagine not marrying him. I feel nervous about getting married in front of others but not nervous or worried about marrying himSmiley heart

The wedding planning is stressful and I just want that to be done, I’ve thought about us both sneaking away and eloping but I’ve never thought about a future without my fiancé.

Anytime I have to deal with his “charming” 23yo live in daughter. She lives with us, works for him/rides in with him and he is more whipped by her than me..... she can do NOOOOOOOOOO wrong- so yes. I have thoughts of pwning her and leaving. She will make the wedding allllll about her if she can.
I’ve already told him, and her and them together “Anyone who cannot be at the wedding to support us, and be Happy, need NOT come. And any and all drama will be met with my private security removing you- permanently from the wedding.😊”

The issues continue and it has gotten to a breaking point in me- like severe depression and the PTSD has caused major issues.
I’m sorry that you feel that.
