Color themes with ivory/champagne wedding dress

I said yes to the dress the other day but was not expecting to purchase an ivory/champagne colored dress!! I fell in love as soon as I put it on. So we don't have a color theme yet and was hoping you guys could shoot me some ideas? Thanks in advance

Beautiful dress! I didn't pair my dress color to my wedding colors. I picked an ivory dress but my wedding colors were red and aqua and the colors popped so much in photos. I think many color combos would look great but don't match it to your dress, match it to your wants and tastes.

Gorgeous!!! My dress is ivory and light gold so I totally sympathize. I stayed away from bright or harsh colors, and metallics (too similar). Instead, I went for rich, muted tones - think burgundy instead of scarlet, peach instead of bright pink, steel blue instead of teal.

The colors I ended up with (for BM dresses and bouquet) were peach, pale grey-pink, coral and burgundy. Interior decor will be all creams and greenery.

My dress was ivory over champagne and I decided to stick with the original color scheme we had in mind: coral and gray. We also had some ivory and peach in the flowers. The only thing I think really matters is to avoid using white. Our flower girl wore ivory, DH's tie was ivory, and the linens were a light champagne color. Stark white would not look great against your dress.

That dress is beautiful and you look gorgeous in it! Do you have a venue or date? Are you having a wedding party? Sometimes the venue can dictate the color scheme, or at least guide you. Also think about what flowers are in season, what flowers you want. If you have bridesmaids, what color would they want, or not want, to wear?

Gorgeous dress! Literally any colors you want you can do with a white/ivory/champagne dress.

I am having this same problemSmiley sad ivory over champagne. The venu is an all white and silver ballroom style. I really wanted to have my bridesmaids in a deep hunter green or gold. But since having picked out an ivory and champagne dress I’m just lost. I tend to stay away from colors. And opted to have a little more fun with color for my wedding but I am just having a hard time. My centerpieces will just be a eucalyptus greenery and candles. I wanted gold, but I’m leaning more towards silver charger plates against the venues white plates and white tablecloths. I’ve already purchased some cream/ivory decoration such as shutters for behind the cake table and a birdcage card holder. I feel like if I can just stick with most of the decorations in ivory and champagne then I can throw some accent color in the end. I’m just confused right now of the colors my bridesmaids and groomsmen will be wearing, because my DH wants to wear something more flashy. So now I’m awaiting his color scheme idea In order for me to figure out if I’m going to change my dress or not!

That sounds like a nice combination. Another bride was looking to get some color in her gown. Surprisingly, it turned out there were some designers making dresses with light blue layers to them. There were even some with silver linings.

Hope that pans out well for you. Does the blue and gold fit in with a broader color scheme you have for the wedding?
