We cancelled our large February wedding after 2 postponements and we are going to Elope in Colorado while on our honeymoon in February!


Anyone get married in Colorado during winter!? Please post pictures/location info! ❤️❤️
So my dress.....I’ve changed it 3 times already 😂. I love my dress but, I bought it with the intention to be married at my venue on a golf course. I’m thinking it’s a bit much especially with the loooong train for an elopement in the snow. (Luckily it’s from DB and exchanges are easy)I’m thinking something with sleeves and a shorter train would be more fitting for the new location. Opinions?

    Have you completely canceled your wedding and no longer going to have it, or just go ahead elope now and potentially have the wedding later?
    If you're not then I wouldn't change your dress, I'd keep it and maybe find some type of cover up to help keep you warm.
    I love your dress! I do have to admit that this one is my favorite between the previous 2 you had as well. This one really accentuates your curves and give that "pow pow pow" look, and makes you look fantastic!

    We are going to throw a party later but no ceremony or anything, just a celebration. I most likely will not wear the dress again, as it will be probably a year from now until we have the party and I’ll probably get something more simple that is more comfortable.

    I did think about buying one of those fur cover up things and keeping this one. The train is just soooo long but I guess I could just carry it.

    Oh okay, if the train is the biggest reason as to why you want to exchange it out then my opinion is to get a very simple bustle in order to pin it up so you don't have to carry it.

    I agree with Rabreena. I'd simply get it bustled. The dress is gorgeous and looks really nice on you. Bustles can be so beautiful and make the dress even more so in my opinion. In fact, I'm debating about wearing my dress bustled the entire day. LOL!

    Colorado has the option for a couple to marry themselves without an officiant!

    You think I can just add a loop to go on my wrist? I won’t have anyone there to bustle me and I don’t think my fiance would figure it out lol.

    I have the same dress and I’ve opted to make a large wedding for the summer of 2022 rather than 2021. I’m currently on the hunt for a long sleeve elopement wedding dress.

    Great idea! Colorado is beautiful! An idea would be to rent a cabin and to elope there. I have a friend who eloped in this cabin and hired a photographer and it was beautiful! This one, in particular, is a bit bigger but has a great view and looked lovely in the pictures!
