Colorado Wedding Venues Under $2000?

Paige, on April 9, 2014 at 1:58 AM Posted in Planning 3 13

Hello! My fiance and I are trying to find an outdoorsy option for our wedding, problem is most venues are either insanely far away or expensive or they're reasonable for the site free but require that you use their catering, which ends up being $45 per person. We're trying to stay at only 100 people completely and really want a venue where we can cater ourselves, but we can't seem to find one that has an outdoor option on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for under $2000. Does anyone have any suggestions or places they know that we could look into? We'd greatly appreciate any tips or help anyone has! Smiley smile

We are having ours at Cheyenne mountain state park. It is entirely outdoors but its beautiful and super cheap when compared to other places! For the amptheater i believe it was 300 and for the picnic pavilion it was another 200

You cant look at wedding venues, you have to look at university annexes, university gardens/chapels/gazebos, parks, shriners clubs. national parks, YMCA camps/parks, and golf clubs/private estates. Think of every business in an area and think of which ones have outdoor gazebos/beautiful cafeteria rooms that could easily convert to a beautiful reception space

Not more than an hour from Denver. I live in Aurora and he lives in Littleton but we really want to use the mountains and the trees to our advantage, we're praying for a hidden gem most people don't know about.

I looked for months trying to find a place that was about $2000 as well. Really had no luck. Some of the ranches near Fort Collins/Loveland area are cheaper. Also, you can look into Chief Hosa Lodge near Evergreen. I really loved the placed and it is owned by Denver Parks and Rec so is much cheaper than other places, and most of all can bring your own alcohol and catering. Only reason we didn't book it was because it was too small for our 200 guest list.

We're getting married at Cathedral Pines in Black Forest. 1300 completely do it yourself. Beautiful grounds with waterfalls and ponds!

Tiffany do you have a link to your venue?

OP look at the city parks in Loveland. They're like $100/day if I remember correctly but they only allow 3.2 beer. How many people? Mccreary house(Loveland) is beautiful and she has a really reasonable hourly rate!

Check out Denver Parks and Rec. Depending on your guest size and time of year, they have a couple great options. Chief Hosa Lodge is absolutely beautiful and affordable, I think their cut off was 125. I went to a wedding in Sept at City Park Pavilions and that was also a pretty location. There is also Turnhalle at Tivoli student union that I have heard is a great price. Happy hunting!

I live in Colorado and am having an outdoor wedding at a venue that's 500 and moving the reception inside to a different venue that's 400 (but from having family that are county employees book it for me I'm getting a great discount on them) but it's about 5 hours away from Denver Smiley sad

We’re looking at the Peak Wellness Center in Littleton and Ken Caryl Ranch House. Both have outside ceremony space and let you bring in your own alcohol and catering. The Peak Wellness Center has options starting at around $1000 and the Ranch House has an hourly rate that is pretty reasonable. Hope that helps!
