Colored hair or not??

I have a year but my hair holds color like no bodies business. It takes months and a lot of money (last time I died my hair it stayed looking like I just did it for 11 months and it was $400 to get it all out) to get color out of my hair. I really want to dye my hair a fun color again but FH thinks...
I have a year but my hair holds color like no bodies business. It takes months and a lot of money (last time I died my hair it stayed looking like I just did it for 11 months and it was $400 to get it all out) to get color out of my hair. I really want to dye my hair a fun color again but FH thinks I might regret it when the wedding rolls around. So I was thinking about a burgundy color that is almost (not really at all) natural. My wedding colors are navy and maroon/burgundy. First picture is the color I’m thinking. Second picture is my dress and my natural color and last picture is just an example of how well my hair holds color. That red is after 6 months of only touching up the roots. What do y’all think? Should I stay natural until after the wedding? Or risk it and do the pretty purple?

I don't know why I'm stressing so much about it. People told me I should get a dress with sleeves so I don't regret my tattoos showing in pictures and making them "ugly". I was so offended by it I purposely bought a dress that shoes every one of my tattoos. Then I see pictures like this and can't get over how elegant she looks! The more people tell me not to dye my hair the more I want to do it

I understand completely. I was told to get a dress that would cover my scar on my back because “it’s ugly and no one wants to look at it,”...not going to lie, that hurt. 😖😖 Now I’m super nervous to try dresses on on Wednesday, 😢

Yeah I feel like if it's really something that you love and it makes you genuinely happy, old you will look back and just be like "Oh man that's so me!"

I'm doing a boudoir shoot for my DH for our 1 year wedding anniversary. So many of my friends keep trying to talk me out of it because of "what ifs". Nahhh old me will think that I was a fun bish back in the day!

You’ll look amazing in whatever dress you choose! If you feel comfortable in a dress that shows it than forget everyone else! Honestly, I hate my upper arms. I have scars all over them from a previous condition that I had as a child. I wanted sleeves so bad to cover them up but I fell so compeletely in love with my dress that all that went away!

Im trying not to think of what others will think and more of what I’ll think in the future. I really don’t think I’ll care about my hair in 59 years and my grandkids will think I looked badass with purple hair on my wedding day. I’m worried about coloring it now (which is what I want to do) then when November rolls around hating it but not being able to change it. Anyway, do what makes you feel good and forget the rest! So excited to see what you choose!!!!

I think the dark burgundy would be pretty!
My hair is naturally very dark brown, almost black...and by my wesding I had planned on it being black with a very dark purple streak so that it would show if I wanted but could easily be hidden. It's my favorite thing to do to my hair, totally me and my fav color so it's my wesding color. Lol maybe do highlights like that instead of doing your entire head ?

It is up to you, but I personally would regret a funky hair color when I look back at my wedding pictures in 10+ years.

This was my hair on my wedding day (and still now) and I know I won't ever regret it. I LOVE my purple hair and have had it for about 8 years now, I didn't even remotely question whether or not I would have it purple for the wedding... in fact I matched the lace-up in my dress to match it!

Do it! The only person it matters to is you, and if it’s who you are, then do it. My hair is more than likely going to be some shade of pink. I think that first color would look amazing on you.

I’m doing blues in my hair for my wedding because I’ve had funky colored hair for a long time. Whether or not I have it in 30 years, it will represent who I am at the time of my wedding and who I was when FH fell in love with me. This is a genuine moment of “you do you, girl”.

I love the color I the first picture. It's fun without being too loud either.

People always asked me if id regret having bright red for my wedding, but it's become part of who i am after 8 years!

As a stylist .. I will tell you (your hair is faded in the picture) and red is the hardest color to get out of hair!! .. I like the burgundy though .. try a salon who uses Goldwell . . The color is a 6vv you will not be disappointed

I know my hair was faded in that picture but that’s after 6 months of not touching it. It stayed in longer than it would have on most others.

I LOVE the burgundy in that first photo! If you feel happiest when your hair is colored, you should go for it!

Its your hair, do what you want!

if you want to be safe, the burgundy color would be beautiful and natural-ish enough to have your fun color but not be super obvious in photos. It would also look gorgeous on you and go with your wedding colors, so it wouldn't stand out too much.

added - what if you just did highlights in the color, and kept the base natural? that way you could get what you wanted with the fun color but keep it toned down - kind of like the picture maybe?

I think the burgundy would look very nice and is a unique way to add color to your wedding. the burgundy is a very trendy color right now and almost does look like a natural color. you could always dye a very dark brown on top of it towards the end if you hate it.
