Colors for Early March

Bethany, on July 24, 2018 at 1:57 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5
I am planning to get married very early March, and based on where I live we likely won’t have grass or green trees yet, but it also probably won’t be snowy. Everything will most likely look brown and dead lol but I’m trying to find a color scheme that looks okay but I’m stuck! Winter colors seem too wintery for March, but spring pastel colors seem to springy for what the environment will look like! Suggestions? Also I really like dusty blue and Marsala red as an accent, but I can’t think of what colors would look good for groomsmen? Black, dark grey, light grey?

I would say dark gray for the groomsmen, or possibly a dark navy color to incorporate into the color palate to tie the dusty blue and marsala red together.

I would go with whatever you want, regardless of season. Dusty blue and marsala are very trendy right now and look great together. A navy suit would coordinate with those colors very well.

Hi Bethany! I would say either light or dark grey would look great with the dusty blue or red! I think for early March you could go with a dusty blue and light grey and it would be the perfect mix between spring and winter! I'll attach a photo for inspiration!

Can you post some pics of your ceremony site and reception? You can choose colors that complement your venues. Or choose colors that fit your theme (just ensure they don't clash with any strong venue colors). I wouldn't worry too much about choosing colors because it's a certain season unless you want to. Choose colors you love, fit your venues or your theme.

Our wedding was March but we did golds, browns and oranges because those fit our pirate theme and our reception venue which was in a wine cave with dirt-colored textured walls.

Our date is March 9th, and we're going with navy, gray/silver and pops of blush/and or rose gold. For instance, my FH is wearing a dark navy jacket, but his guys are wearing cement gray jackets and my girls are wearing navy dresses. Centerpieces will consist of greenery, baby's breath, hydrangeas and blush roses/carnations.

Texas weather in March can either be 90 degrees or snowing, so I didn't want bright colors, but I also didn't want to go with fall colors such as burgundy, etc. Navy is a very neutral wedding/all around color. Smiley smile
