Colors for Fall wedding

Cindy, on March 17, 2022 at 7:55 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 9
I am having trouble figuring out a color scheme. The groomsmen will have gray suits and I'm not sure what color the bridesmaid dresses should be. The wedding is in October. I am not a fan of the sage or purple options. I've looked into blush but wonder if it's too light for that time of year. Any suggestions on other colors that may look good?? TIA

Burnt orange/terra cotta is a great option for fall! And you can get it in a soft, muted tone as well.

Burgundy, terra cotta, emerald green, dark teal, are all good options.

If you want blush you could mix in like burgundy and navy to give it more of that darker fall feel, while still having the color you want.

My bridesmaids wore burnt orange dresses, the groomsmen were in dark grey suits (my husband was in a light grey suit) with marine blue ties, my mother-in-law wore dusty rose pink, and my mom wore a mulberry colored dress.
Here are a couple pictures from my wedding showing the colors.

I think you could totally make blush work for fall. Maybe you could pair it with burgundy and some greenery. Dusty rose is very pretty, too.Colors for Fall wedding 4

My bridesmaids will be in a burnt orange/ terracotta. My fiancé in a burgundy suit. His groomsmen will wear like a dark beige color. So any of those colors you can choose for your bridesmaids! I’m getting married October also. I saw someone else suggest navy. I think that could also work. That also looks nice against gray. Browse “fall color palette” on Pinterest and see what you love. Be aware that not all colors are flattering on everyone. Some people look great in warm colors (red, orange, yellow) and others look washed out, and the same is true of cool colors (blue, purple) where not everyone looks good in them.

One option that you can do is black dresses which are universally flattering with colorful bouquets.

My bridesmaids were in a pale blue for my October 1st wedding! Not traditionally a "fall" color, but it's soft color contrasted with fall leaves/pumpkins on tables as well as not being a typical "Fall Wedding" color if that's what you're going for.

I think any color will look lovely, as the accessories (bouquets, decor, natural fall splendor) will set the season, while the color mirrors your own taste.

We based our colors off of the changing leaves. So basically anything went, gold, blue, pink, red with creams:
