Combined Bachelor/Bachelorette Party

Crystal, on November 30, 2017 at 1:22 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 17

Has anyone had a combined bachelor and bachelorette party?? Pros and cons? We're thinking about doing a weekend getaway with friends at a beach house but then splitting up and doing our own thing and coming back together at the end of the night at the beach house. But a lot of friends think it's a bad idea and it should be separate.

We're doing a get together so everyone can get to know each other before the wedding. So I understand that thinking. But we're still doing our bachelorette and bachelor parties separate a different day. I wouldn't suggest doing them together because it's nice to have a night out with just the girls/guys.

I think that'd be fun! Way more our style.

IMO I love my girls weekends, so I would never do it, but it's truly up to you. I have never been to a combined party but I am sure it could be fun too.

    edit: spelling

We had a combined party. A lot of our friends are couples so it worked really well for us Smiley smile

I went to a combined one and we all had fun and loved it. Plus it saves any drama from "anything happening."

I attended a combined bachelor/bachelorette party in Amsterdam. The wedding was also in Amsterdam so the party was a couple nights before. It was dinner followed by a night out with a group of (about) ten. It worked for them because it was a fairly small group and there were mixed genders (girls good friends with the groom and vice versa).

I wanted a combined one, we are both going to Vegas but different weekends. It would have been easier for people to travel if it was combined but i didn't want to stay at the same hotel, or go out together. I wanted the groups to meet each other and meet up for breakfast and stuff like that.

That's what our MOH and best man have been tossing around. Going our separate ways during the day and then meeting up in the evening for dinner and drinks or whatever else we want to do. They asked us what we thought about it and we love the idea especially since we have a groomsmaid and a bridesman

Not sure our plan yet, but when i was a BM in my friends wedding they did a joint night bar hopping. It was so fun and a great way for everyone to get to know each other! We had dinner beforehand and then went to a dueling piano bar, so fun! They are all so close so two separate weekends away wasn't in their plans. This was also a lot more low cost which worked out better.

We had a joint party. (Of course, ours wouldn't have been single-sex anyway, since we're both women and wouldn't have wanted to exclude our guy friends.)

I've never understood the appeal of "girls' weekends" to begin with--why leave out half my friends? And if the two of you are okay with having a joint party, I don't see why anyone else gets to object.

I'm having a bachelorette, but my fiance invited me to his past this morning. I said we'd see, but I may go anyway. He's not a big partier and his Best Man is hosting a gamer party.

We want to do stuff separate and then meet up around midnight to finish the party together.

The hubs and I have been to a combined one before and really enjoyed it! It was definitely the bride and groom's style and everyone had a good time! I personally had a bonfire at my house, and the boys ended up coming and joining us after their party ended and we had a great time! We aren't the wild party type though so it fit us.

We will most likely end up doing a combined one as well since we have a really small bridal party and want everyone to get to know each other better. I don't see anything wrong with your idea, especially since you'll already have had "separate" time!

My fiance and I are having a joint bachelor/bachelorette party in Vegas. We'll be there for a few days so one day we are splitting up guys and girls to do our own separate thing and the second day we'll be doing a group dinner/club outing and renting a boat on lake las vegas earlier that day. I can't wait till March!

I think it just depends on the crowd.
