What is a bridal shower for the bride & groom called? Opinions on this?

Wedding shower? Couples shower? I'm not really sure, but that's what I would go with!

Couple's Shower. We are having one this summer. Ours will be a cocktail style party at a restaurant.

I never really like them. Each one I have been to the men look super bored and just don't want to be there. I would rather it just be a girls thing.
However, if done right, and the focus isn't fully on the bride with the groom just there, like he is taken into account, I'm sure it can be just fine.

Couples shower? That's what we called it for my friend. We did a brunch for them with a bubbly bar and bloody Mary bar. FH made them a corn hole board so the guys were mainly outside playing corn hole and watching the big tv that was set up and the girls stayed inside and talked. It was a lot of fun.

Okay, thank you all! Thinking of doing one that’s a bbq with yard games & beer.

In the south we call it a couples shower. That’s what we are doing since I want to enjoy the party with my FH and not have all the attention solely on me.

It's a couple's shower and that's what we had. We had a blast, and actually the guys got into the games as much or more than the girls.

I believe it's referred to as a Jack and Jill style shower! I don't see the harm in it! The more the merrier!

I’ve heard couples shower. I don’t mind them but FH feels uncomfortable at them and insisted we not have one.

I usually refer to it as a wedding shower. The shower that is just for the bride and only females attend would be the bridal shower...or baby shower if she's pregnant, lol.

We're doing a combined shower and calling it a "Wedding Shower" although I have seen "Couple Shower" as well.

All the people saying "the men will be bored" is exactly why we're doing it LOL the women are usually bored too!!! No one really likes showers, we're only doing it because our parents insisted. This way people get to socialize together, making it more fun.
