Combined Couples Shower

Maria, on November 10, 2020 at 6:31 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 19
Hi! Has anyone had a combined wedding shower and what are your thoughts on them? I’ve seen a few ideas online, but it seems to be a newer trend.

We had a co-Ed wedding shower! My (now) husband was there, groomsmen attended, my BM brought their SO. We still played games like normal, and had food and drinks. It was a big turn out for us!

I had a co-ed wedding shower and it was fun! A lot of my friends were married before us so they are already in couples. Since my hubby was not going to have a bach party I suggested this and he was super excited. We played games, had prizes and had a brunch theme so there was food and drinks galore. I know most of my friends would not have wanted to drive to and from alone especially if we planed to have some drinks so inviting both men and women made it even better! It was a blast and I totally recommend it if you're thinking about it.

We had a coed wedding shower and it was great. No different than a normal bridal shower except the guest list.

COMBINED couples??? Uh no.. unless you are like twins that cant do anything apart from the other, each bride should have her own day.....

Hey, my friend had one. They rented a venue and had open bar , dj and food. It was a whole party and it was really fun. I think something smaller at home with decorations and food and drinks would be really good to do. I wouldn't stress, from my end attendees just wanna be there fir you two!

All of our friends did couple's showers and they were a huge hit! We're also having one because our past experiences were great!

Couple's showers are perfect for those that have most of their friends in relationships, married, committed etc., but even if that's not the case for you and your partner, they're still a blast!

Our shower was coed! It was really more of a luncheon than anything else—three hours in a private room at a restaurant with a small buffet, raw bar, passed apps and beer and wine. We didn’t open gifts and didn’t play any shower games.

My favorite part was that a good chunk of the people who couldn’t attend (but were invited to) our destination wedding came to the shower so we got to socialize and celebrate with them!
It was a lot more fun than many of the women-only showers I’ve attended.

Ours wasn't technically co-ed, but my husband, his dad, and his grandpa were there. It was in a neighborhood clubhouse and there was a separate room with a pool table, so they mostly hung out there, but would pop over for food and drinks. My husband also played the shoe game with me and we opened presents together. It was fun, and I'm glad he was there since the gifts were just as much his as mine.

Mine won't be (his mom is very traditional), but I've been to three that were!

FH will do the "old tradition" of stopping by to bring me flowers (I imagine he'll have a snack or two too haha) and carry the gifts out.

Oh Yay! It honestly was great I wouldn't have done it any other way. It gave our friends and family the opportunity to meet before the wedding and just have a good time. We had our wedding shower about 45 minutes away from most of our invitees home area so I wanted to make sure they could feel comfortable coming and not feel like it was too much for them to do by themselves. I hope you have a blast, remember if you're planning on doing games with prizes to add a thing or two that a guy may like to receive. Best of Luck!

I’ve been to ones where it starts as ladies only then becomes coed in the evening. It was fun and I’m sure a whole coed affair would be fun too!
