Comedian at bridal shower. Fun entertainment?

I've never seen anything like that, but I'd personally love it as a guest! I guess I'd just make sure the comedian's sense of humor is appropriate for your bridal shower guests. Make sure no one will feel uncomfortable with the types of jokes being told.

My mother hired an electric violinist, to play until the gift opening part. It was lovely for background music.

I'd nix the comedian. Not everybody has the same taste, in comedy. I know with some people the first string of obscenities and they'd be out the door.

She specializes in bridal showers - she talks about the couple and gets the party going to break it up from the norm of opening gifts and being bored to death lol. I'm excited definitely not going to be obscene... this is my mom we're talking about lol. She wouldn't book something obscene.

I love the idea, and if there isn't a ton of games planned or other activities, you should have plenty of time for a little comedian act! Go for it.

I've been to a shower that had a comedian. It's good it breaks up the day a little bit.
