Comfortable wedding shoes?

Christina, on October 13, 2021 at 11:55 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 3 11
Hi everyone!

I’m getting married next July and just starting to search for comfortable wedding shoes. Any previous brides or wedding guests have suggestions for comfortable wedding shoes?
Thanks in advance!

Personally, I hate heels, so I looked at flat sandals. I honestly just went to DSW and picked a pretty pair of dressy sandals that felt comfortable. You don't need "wedding" shoes per say.

I'm wearing flats the color of Royal Blue. Heels are overrated for weddings in my opinion.

Comfort is relative. What one person finds comfy someone else will not. The best thing to do is try them on in person at the store before you buy. That means you won’t be ordering online. Go to a local DSW, Macy’s, Dillards, Nordstrom, etc and try shoes on there.

I am not a heels person, so I am taking several pairs of comfortable flats and deciding which ones I want to wear the day of. And then I will also have multiple back ups in case my feet start to hurt.

I’m wearing rose gold Birkenstocks. My feet will be covered in my dress and they are so comfortable.

Comfort is key!! I went with a wedge. After our first dance I changed out of the shoes and into a pair of Cinderollies for the rest of the night. Honestly, no one even saw my shoes. Cinderollies.com

I have a gorgeous pair of Steve Madden rhinestone d’orsay flats for pictures and my ceremony. But I won’t be wearing them all night because there is NO arch support in them. My hubby is going to kill me when he sees them, but I likely will wear a pair of sperrys under the gown (not like they will show much after pictures anyway!)

Honestly? I’d wear dance heels like Capezio or some other brand, and then decorate them! Some people will want to buy certain types or brands of shoes, but if you want to dance the night away and not kill your feet, you can find black or nude heels & bejewel them, or find indoor tango shoes that are comfy and pretty!

I might even consider having heels for the ceremony & different heels/shoes for the reception for comfort! Hope that helps! xx

I just got my wedding shoes from DSW and they are very comfortable! Who knew comfort and heels could go in the same sentence? Lol. They are Nina Nicasia sandals. They have a 2 3/4” covered heel. They don’t feel too tall, and the front of the shoe fits very nicely. I have a slightly wider foot and sometimes shoes can feel very tight around the toe area, but it’s not an issue with these. Also, the fabric has a very beautiful sparkle to it in person, but it doesn’t really show up in the pictures online. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a little bit of height, pretty sparkles and a lot of comfort.
